The presentation is convincing, and Eudora deserves praise for not using the nomenclature Deo Parfum, which is commonly used in the perfumery industry in Brazil. Impression comes as an Eau de Parfum, which elevates its status.
Review
The fragrance is classified as woody-ambery and has warm balsamic notes, woods, white pepper, cardamom, and leather. When it touches the skin, everything seems to arrive at the same time, a touch of sensuality, a controlled sweetness, and a slightly spicy side. The leather note is present but not as prominent as one would expect.
One of the biggest flaws of Impression is that it does not meet the expectations created by its appearance. When one looks at the bottle and the color of its liquid, it is easy to imagine an oriental fragrance with some alcoholic nuances and a certain sobriety. One would also expect a dry and manly leather combined with the chocolate aspect of patchouli, for example. However, Impression behaves like a typical "red" fragrance, with an evolution that combines well with ballads and younger men. It disregards the concept of time and experience that the bottle and presentation suggest.
This is not to say that Impression is a bad fragrance. It is quite good, and other fragrances in the same style, such as Polo Red and its Intense version, as well as Ferrari Man in Red, have had good results. It just doesn't tell the life story of older men, who seem to have been put aside by perfumery companies in recent years. It would be interesting to see Eudora launch an Intense version, which could bring a stronger leather note with notes of moss, saffron, incense, and perhaps even a brandy accord.
