Sapphire is beautiful. The beginning is fairly fruity, with both blueberry and orange coming through. However, this vibrant fruity beginning quickly diminishes. Although the whipped cream, tonka bean, vanilla, and panettone notes truly dominate this scent, you would still detect some of the fruity notes. Fortunately, the marine accord, and perhaps the sandalwood, keep this from being overly sweet.

When compared to Armani Code, which relies so heavily on its white blossoms, KKW Sapphire comes across as a pure gourmand. Both of these are orientals, but Armani Code leans much more toward the floral side, while KKW Sapphire leans more into the gourmand side. KKW Sapphire might be a better purchase if you do not enjoy floral scents.
